I've tried meditation before, but my brain couldn't stay focused long enough to get any benefit. After I had a very stressful year with some serious family events, I needed to find a way to bring peace into my life. I found Jessica and scheduled an appointment. Jessica is so calm and breathwork was something I'd been meaning to try. She quietly brought me through a session and I was truly able to focus and find calm. Then she did a guided meditation that actually worked on my busy brain. I stayed completely in that calm and peaceful space. Part of my difficult year was my son receiving a traumatic brain injury. I thought my son should try this medium for peace. It's hard for him to focus and he has short term memory issues. Jessica was especially tuned in to him and I was amazed at how he responded to the breathwork. The next session, she suggested he do the guided meditation as well. He really responded to her quiet, calm guidance through a combined breathwork and meditation. It is something I think all TBI and trauma patients vitally need with their ongoing recovery. Jessica invited me to a Zoom meeting as a requirement to complete her breathwork training and in the process of getting certified as a breath work coach. I had no idea how transformative breath work exercises can be.
